Organ Piper is a hand-processed observational portrait of Zach Frame, the organist at Organ Piper Pizza Palace, a midwestern family restaurant. Prior to sound film, movie theaters were equipped with organs that were played to accompany the moving picture. This organ was salvaged from many theaters with basic components built by Wurlitzer. It activates all components of the space including lights, fans, and animatronic dolls.
